Your Role
As a facilitator, you are a fellow CU School of Medicine leader who participates in the program alongside your peers — completing the same monthly lessons and challenges — while also taking on the practical work of coordinating logistics and guiding the in-person group conversations.
Your role is not to teach or be an expert on the content; it’s to create the conditions for honest, balanced discussion by setting a welcoming tone, ensuring all voices are heard, and helping the group stay focused and connected.
Each month follows a consistent structure: a brief topic introduction, a focused discussion grounded in the lesson and challenge, and time for open conversation over a shared meal. This guide provides everything you need — session plans, facilitation tips, troubleshooting guidance, and meal reimbursement procedures — so you can feel prepared and confident going in.
The research team is available to support you throughout, and your experience as a facilitator will itself be part of how we learn what makes this program work.
